John L. Barrett Jr. (aka Jack Barrett): Superintendent of Detectives for the Metropolitan Police Department.

Ralph Durant: Lead Metropolitan Police Department detective assigned to investigate Chandra Levy’s disappearance in 2001.

Lawrence Kennedy: Metropolitan Police Department detective assigned to investigate Chandra Levy’s disappearance in 2001.

Ronald Wyatt: Metropolitan Police Department detective assigned to investigate Chandra Levy’s disappearance in 2001.

Brad Garrett: FBI counterterrorism expert known popularly as “Dr. Death.” He is responsible for tracking down and brining to justice some of the country’s most dangerous enemies.

Barbara Kittay: Assistant US Attorney assigned to investigate Chandra Levy’s disappearance in 2001.

Heidi Pasichow: Assistant US Attorney assigned to investigate Chandra Levy’s disappearance in 2001, then promoted to the Superior Court of Washington DC.

Amanda Haines: Assistant US Attorney assigned in 2010 to lead the prosecution of Ingmar Guandique for the murder of Chandra Levy. Haines is now under investigation.

Deborah Sines: Assistant US Attorney assigned in 2015 to the prosecution of Ingmar Guandique in his re-trial for the murder of Chandra Levy (after Guandique’s 2010 conviction was overturned).

Chandra Levy: 24-year-old from California working as an intern in Washington, DC at the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She’s finishing a graduate degree at the University of Southern California and her internship with the prisons bureau is a requirement of the graduate program. Her parents and younger brother live in Modesto, California. Chandra disappeared around May 1, 2001. She was last seen at the Washington Sports Club in DuPont Circle on April 30th. More than a year later her remains were found in Rock Creek Park, on May 22, 2002.

Susan Levy: Chandra’s mother.

Dr. Robert Levy: Chandra’s father.

Linda Zamsky: Chandra’s “aunt” who lives on the East Coast.

Jennifer Baker: Chandra’s friend. Jennifer is also a graduate student at the University of Southern California and is working as an internship in Congressman Gary Condit’s office on Capitol Hill.

Billy Martin: Prominent lawyer in Washington DC with a practice that specializes in taking on high-profile cases.

Jerry Gruner: Private investigator hired by the Levy family and Bill Martin after Chandra’s disappearance, and the former head of the CIA’s Latin America operation.

Gary Condit: Congressman representing much of California’s Central Valley, including Modesto. He sits on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He is a founder and the leader of the Congressional Blue Dog Democrats and is under consideration for a position in the cabinet of newly elected President George W. Bush.

Carolyn Condit: Gary Condit’s wife. Carolyn lives full time in Ceres, California just outside of Modesto. She never wanted to be a “political tag along wife.”

Chad Condit: Gary and Carolyn Condit’s son. Chad is the Governor of California’s point person for the entire Central Valley. It is widely assumed that Chad will soon run for a seat in the state legislature.

Cadee Condit: Gary and Carolyn’s daughter. Her desk sits just outside the Governor’s personal office and she manages his schedule.

Adrian Condit: Gary’s father. Adrian is the preacher at the Ceres Free Will Baptist Church.

Jean Condit: Gary’s mother.

Darrell Wayne “Hop” Condit: Gary’s ‘fugitive’ brother.

Burl Condit: Gary’s ‘cop’ brother.

Dove Condit-Wilson: Gary’s sister.

Mike Lynch: Gary’s chief of staff and his most trusted political advisor.

Mike Dayton: Gary’s lead staffer in Washington DC. Gary is grooming ‘Dayton’ for big things. Dayton is a local boy from ‘Condit Country’ and friends with Chad Condit. 

Abbe Lowell: Gary’s attorney during the scandal.

Lin Wood: Gary’s attorney when he and Carolyn and Gary both sued the news media in the aftermath of the scandal.

Joe Cotchett: Gary’s California based attorney prior to Abbe Lowell.

Tom Warwick: Gary’s attorney during Ingmar Guandique’s trial for the murder of Chandra Levy.

Joyce Chiang: 28-year-old lawyer at INS who disappeared from DuPont Circle on January 9, 1999. Her remains were found in the Anacostia River on April 1, 1999. Her murder remains unsolved.

Ingmar Guandique: Salvadorian immigrant convicted of brutally attacking a number of women in Rock Creek Park and accused of murdering Chandra Levy.

Iris Portillo: Ingmar Guandique’s former girlfriend who testified at the Levy trial.

Halle Shilling: One of the women Guandique attacked in Rock Creek Park.

Christy Wiegand: Another woman Guandique attacked in Rock Creek Park.

Vince Flammini: Former staffer in Gary Condit’s district office and Gary’s friend. Gary and Flammini regularly road motorcycles together until Gary fired Flammini shortly before Chandra disappeared.

Sonny Barger: Founder of the Hell’s Angeles Motorcycle Club and an acquaintance of Gary Condit.

Otis Thomas: Pentecostal minister, gardener and friend of Susan Levy who alleged his teenage daughter had an affair with Gary Condit then recanted.

Anne Marie Smith: United Airlines flight attendant with whom Gary Condit engaged in an extramarital affair prior to Chandra Levy’s disappearance.

Jim Robinson: Anne Marie Smith’s lawyer.

Joleen McKay: A former member of Gary Condit’s staff. McKay told the FBI that she and Gary had a sexual relationship a few years prior to Chandra Levy’s disappearance.

 

Barry Colvert: Retired FBI lead polygraph examiner who conducted Gary’s polygraph test.

 

Willie Brown Jr.: Former Speaker of the California State Assembly who was Gary’s mentor until the two clashed during what became known as the “Gang of Five.”

 

Gray Davis: Governor of California and close friend and ally of Gary. Gary’s kids, Chad and Cadee, both worked for Davis at the time Chandra disappeared.

 

Steve Peace: Member of the infamous Gang of Five and close ally of Gary. Steve Peace was at the front of the “energy crisis” in California and was pushing Gary for help in Washington when Chandra went missing.

 

Ralph Hall: Member of the Blue Dogs.

Mike Parker: Member of the Blue Dogs.

 

Armando Morales: Key “Confession Witness” in the trial of Ingmar Guandique for the murder of Chandra Levy. Morales had been a cell-mate of Guandique in a federal prison.
